Garlands have officially stolen my heart – they are just so lovely and versatile! Large scale garlands can set the tone in any room while tiny garlands add small pops of interest and texture to a space. They range from bright and sunny to muted and subtle. They can be made from coffee filters, tissue paper, fabric, cupcake liners, felt, old maps…even tape! I find them stunning – whether they are draped across a window, strung throughout a room, dangling from tree branches or tied to the back of a chair.
There are hundreds of interesting garlands, tissue paper poms and mobiles floating around the world wide web. Here are some of my favorites – so hard to choose just a few!
I cannot wait to make my very own creation and share the entire process with you! First, though, I’ll have to decide on which type I want to make. Decisions, decisions.
