I’m not a big fan of the don’t see the bride before the ceremony tradition.
I’m not knockin’ it, it’s just not for me.
But i do love the idea of a first look.
A first look consists of a photo session where the bride and groom (and photographer) share a special moment alone where they see each other for the first time. It’s such a great way to steal a few minutes with your beau and for some, calm those jitters. Greg is a bit on the jittery side, okay, me too, so this will be great for us.
Plus, we plan on taking some pictures before the wedding so we can get straight to our guests afterwards.
What do you think? Would you entertain the idea of a first look?
Our own Miss Meticulous Bride did a first look on her wedding day as well, and she just so happens to be a good friend of mine. Here she is on her big day with her husband…
She blogged about her first look here.
So do you think this is something for you? Still hanging on to tradition?
Okay, Maybe these alternatives to a first look may spark your interest…
A blindfold perhaps? This bride removes it but you can surely keep it on for a twist on this new trend.
Or how about a love letter exchange behind a door? So cute!
And for something totally different…
If you’re a daddy’s girl like me, you’ll likely have the tears pouring before you set foot to any aisle! So how about sharing a first look with your father?
How unbelievably sweet is that? I love it!
If you’re not convinced I leave you with this first look video, enjoy!
