Wedding Cards Basket

Posted on December 26, 2014 by  Miss Blushing Bride   //   Comment

What does one do with all the wedding cards they get on their special day? Most brides have a card holder set up so they (and family members!) don’t have to worry about carrying around envelopes for the night and can focus on dancing.

I truly had NO idea how expensive wedding card boxes could be, and now I understand why a lot of people DIY or just use something they have off-hand. we ❤ this! itsabrideslife.com #weddingcardbox While this one looks pretty, it comes with a price tag of $100…eeks!

A cards basket is absolutely appropriate if you are doing a rustic wedding. Just have a simple sign strung along the inside and you are set! we ❤ this! itsabrideslife.com #weddingcardbox

If you want to showcase photos of you and your hubby, a picture card-holder is a cute option. Again, if you don’t want to pay for yours – here’s a DIY option I found. It looks great, but note you might need to be crafty and takes a little bit of time!   we ❤ this! itsabrideslife.com #weddingcardbox

I am thinking about attempting my hand at something similar to this card holder. It looks simple and pretty manageable, so that someone without any artistic skills (cough cough, me) could handle it. A little spray, a ribbon, and a pretty accent piece – I think I can, I think I can! we ❤ this! itsabrideslife.com #weddingcardboxWish me luck….and stay tuned!

My next order of business on the list of final things to do for the wedding is to search for and purchase (or create on my own) a card box! I found a few adorable ideas in a quick search that are shown below, so I’m hoping it won’t be a difficult undertaking to complete! What did you use as your wedding card box?

Little Black Box

Posted on August 11, 2013 by  Miss Edgy Bride   //   Comment

So I know I’ve seen and probably written a post on card boxes…at this point I think all of us have…

I originally wanted to have this 3 tier hat box creation that I was certain I wanted to do all by myself…yeah ok..with 2 months to go and a MILLION other things that I “want” to do.

So I started looking around and originally the thought of the white, metal wire card box didnt sit well with me at all…BUT then I stumbled on the BLACK version…now, THIS was a box of a different color! I dont know why but the black looked a hundred times better to me.

I looked at it and decided to get it and add some personality to it. I didnt want to go too crazy (which was hard) to keep it from looking too cheesy.

So I started with the plain black box…

and some rhinestones and white feathers later…..

I dont know why but I love it and the cutest thing to me is that the “gift tag” on it is metal and looks great with our intial on it…lol.

I love it!

DIY ’til you die!

Posted on April 22, 2013 by  Miss Edgy Bride   //   Comment

As you ladies already know, out here in the wedding world there is a PLETHERA of DIY projects. Here are some that caught my eye because they are different and I can see many brides using them for many different facets of your wedding…(all of these are complete with full instructions and some even list where to buy all the materials too!)

Chiffon and Tulle Flowers: these can be used for a NUMBER of things…reception decor, dresses or even your bouquet!

Hurricane Glasses: these aren’t your “run of the mill” standard hurricanes…they all have different bases, which are all different types of votive/candle stick holders!! You can mix and match them to fit your style.

Photo Card Box:This one I really loved because you can use this idea for ANY of your functions ..engagement party, shower and of course, your reception; not to mention that you it’s fully CUSTOMIZABLE with a little imagination. You don’t HAVE to use photos of yourselves; you can use prints that coordinate with the feel of your reception AND after the reception you can use it as a storage cube in you and your new hubby’s love nest!
