What does one do with all the wedding cards they get on their special day? Most brides have a card holder set up so they (and family members!) don’t have to worry about carrying around envelopes for the night and can focus on dancing.
I truly had NO idea how expensive wedding card boxes could be, and now I understand why a lot of people DIY or just use something they have off-hand. While this one looks pretty, it comes with a price tag of $100…eeks!
A cards basket is absolutely appropriate if you are doing a rustic wedding. Just have a simple sign strung along the inside and you are set!
If you want to showcase photos of you and your hubby, a picture card-holder is a cute option. Again, if you don’t want to pay for yours – here’s a DIY option I found. It looks great, but note you might need to be crafty and takes a little bit of time!
I am thinking about attempting my hand at something similar to this card holder. It looks simple and pretty manageable, so that someone without any artistic skills (cough cough, me) could handle it. A little spray, a ribbon, and a pretty accent piece – I think I can, I think I can!Wish me luck….and stay tuned!
