Since I was a little girl I have been dreaming of my wedding, and of course my dress! I have always envisioned myself in a classic style dress and lace was a must. I had been looking at Mon Cheri Bridals gowns for a long time. They have such beautiful and timeless gowns, something for every bride. One of my favorite designers is David Tutera and I just knew they had the right dress for me. I fell head over heels with one particular dress online and I had to find “her”. I say her because all of David’s dresses have girl names. I am going to keep my dress a secret until my big day, especially since my fiance peeks at my blog. So, you guys will have to wait. The hunt for that dream dress began and I have to thank Tiffany (from Mon Cheri Bridals) for searching and calling many salons. Finally!!! RENEE STRAUSS For the Platinum Bride (in West Hollywood) had the dress! I couldn’t believe it! I was going to Beverly Hills and of all places in the world the Renee Strauss Salon! I felt so lucky. West Hollywood is about a 6 hour drive for me, but it didn’t matter the distance. I would have drove to Florida if I had to. My maid of honor Kathy, my friend Edith, my mom and I all loaded up in the car and were on our way.
We arrived at Renee Strauss and I was early for my appointment, which they didn’t seem to mind. They were excited to meet me as much as I was to meet them. After a quick introduction, I was off to find my dress. It was a beautiful shop, amazing decor, dresses everywhere and my eyes could not take it all in at once. I selected my dream dress and two others to try on… all David Tutera for Mon Cheri. I couldn’t wait to try on the dress I came in for so I needed to put it on first! The attendant kindly helped me into the dress. The picture did not do this dress justice. Sparkles of bling and lace everywhere, it was just breathtaking. I came out of the fitting room and stood on the stand. I knew it was the dress, but I told myself I would at least try on the others. I did and they were beautiful also, but not me. I got back Into the first dress again and had the same feeling of stunning beauty… this was my wedding dress! The attendant quickly got me a veil and that was it. There I was wearing the most beautiful dress in the most amazing shop. I felt like a bride. Thank you Renee Strauss for the Platinum Bride for making me feel like a bride.
