So the guest favours are done, finally! Here is the end result.
So what are they? Well, they are a mojito glass etched with our crane symbol along with a black muddler, a thank you card, and a recipe card for making your own Winter Mojito.
Aaron and I etched all the glasses in the summer (glad we tackled that project in advance). You may remember an earlier blog post which explains all the steps for etching your own glasses but if not just click the link below.
We tied tulle around the glass to jazz it up a bit. We just wrapped it around, tied it in a knot, and then tucked the loose ends underneath the tulle.
Next up was making the “Thank You” cards and the “Winter Mojito Recipe” cards. We copied the look and feel of our wedding invitations to make these. We used a hole punch to make a hole through the top corner and attached the tags with silver twist ties.
Finally we put the whole thing into a cellophane bag and tied the top with some green rafia. Sounds simple, right.
It was actually pretty time consuming but luckily for us we had some help from Lisa and Tim. Here are a few shots of the work in progress.
One more thing to cross off the list!
