I’m not going to have a lot of decorations at my wedding, I’m letting the surroundings do that. I have mentioned before how flowers will be non-existent. In place of the foliage for my bridesmaids to walk down the aisle with, they’ll be holding parasols:

(I really wish I knew who took this photo!)
I did plenty of research before coming to that decision. In my internet browsing, I came across some incredibly interesting ideas. I really wish I could them all.
The Usual Suspects

(Origami bouquet. Thank you, Princess.)

(Button bouquet kits at Princess Lasertron.)

(Pinwheels at Cross Roads Cottage.)
Origami flowers, buttons, and pinwheels (oh, my!). I would love to do them, but I cannot risk all of that beautiful work being destroyed on the 13 hour plane ride while stuffed in a suitcase.
A Different Form of Flower

(Wire bouquet at Refinerii.)

(Butterfly bouquet at idotakeu.)
(Feather bouquet at Croska.)
And then you have the non-bouquet.
The Anti-Bouquet

(Peacock fan at Ivyndell.)
(Ribbon Sticks at Romancing Juliet.)
(Wedding wraps at Wonderful Wraps.)

(Firefly lantern at April Hiler Designs.)
If you don’t feel traditional flower bouquets fit your big day, there is something that can fill the void.
Even after all this researching, I still don’t know what I’m going to carry…
