With our daughter and niece, our Flower Girls!

All in all we loved our Wedding and everyone who was a part of it. We wouldn’t change anything about it and minus the planning would do it all again tomorrow!

A continuation of our Wedding Day as we moved from the Ceremony to the Reception! For us, it was all in the details and at the end of the night we wanted everyone to have had a good time and to notice all the little things we did to try and make our wedding uniquely ours!

Favors (Cigars, Cuban Coffee, Chocolates)

Cake – Mojito Cupcakes, Guava and Cream Cheese Guayabera Grooms Cake (Ms. Debbie’s Sugar Art)

Mojito Bar and Custom Drink Bar

Food Catered by Omi Risco – Traditional Cuban pork, rice, beans, ropa vieja, and Seafood Paella

Domino escort table (at one point there were all 125 guests names on here before the mad rush!) and Cuban marries American canvas painting guestbook (painted by me!)

Our Wedding day has come and gone and it all happened so fast it is kind of unbelievable. We have so many great memories of our wedding captured in photos that will make us laugh and make us tear up every now and then. I owe thank you’s to so many people from hair and make up to flowers, photos, and cake. I am so happy to share pictures of it all!

Re-Engagement

At my rehearsal dinner, my groom-to-be surprised me with some new bling for the famous finger. We had talked many times about upgrading my original ring but I never expected this! With the help of one of our friends David Lyles of Jewelry Works in Gainesville, they were able to come up with this amazing one of a kind ring design and I couldn’t be happier – and of course surprised! We didnt get any good pictures of it actually happening but here is a shot of my ring and Wedding Band from the jeweler!

Wedding Day Re-Do’s

Posted on June 29, 2013 by  Miss Modern Bride   //   Comment

Now that my wedding day has come and gone, there are a few things I would have done differently and I wanted to share them with all the Brides out there.

Programs: I spent hours coming up with the material and format for the programs on top of assembling them – what a waste! I made 80 programs and I still have about 50 of them. It was a lot of time, paper, and computer ink! If I could redo this part- maybe I would have made an App for that. Someone out there who is way more computer savvy than I am should make a program app that you can create and share your Ceremony program.

Reception Time: We wanted to have a long and fun reception so we had it begin around 4:00pm and it was scheduled to end at 11:00pm. I would have rethought this idea because we found that around 8:30pm people were starting to leave, and having started the Ceremony at 2:00pm, that’s a long day. I would have either put more time in between the Ceremony and the Reception or I would have just scheduled to do the important events earlier (toasts, cake, bouquet toss) so that way people could be there for all of it.
