My Matron of Honor surprised me with a locket pinned to my bouquet with my mothers pictures…oyea there was tears.

Nolan decided that Sharlene, his sister mom, deserved a spotlight dance as well, so he Danced to “My Best Friend” by Queen, which is always a big hit.

Our DJ did something very cool. We had found out that Nolan’s aunt and uncle had DJ Sam of Atmosphere Productions at THEIR wedding! What’s even cooler is he remembered them as clients and played their first dance song. It was very sweet!

Ahhhh the Gelato Bar. It was just spectacular!

Instead of a money dance, or jug at the gift table, we decided to let the guests decide who gets “caked” after the cake cutting. (of COURSE Nolan Lost.)

My Dress!

That’s right my loyal, lovely readers- I give you the story of my dress.

I know I kept it secret from the blog, but it was really special to get to see that look on Nolan’s face as I walked up that aisle.

As you remember, the hunt began at Stylish Impressions, where I found this beauty by Sophia Tolli.

I loved it so much, my friend and family even “jacked” me up, as that popular dress show personality says.

The really hard decision came when I was picking the colors. Should I stick with this color, or go all ivory? A question that was answered quickly as the wonderful ladies at Stylish Impressions pulled up pictures of the ivory version.

So then came my first fitting and i knew i had aced that question.

Which morphed into this beautiful gal you see here!

OF COURSE there were mimosas! The day of my wedding was always going to be brought in with a bang, and my girls know how to keep it classy. BIG BIG BIG shout out to “The Den” who not only did a spectacular job with hair and make-up but opened their beautiful salon up to 6 crazy gals and some bubbly. Without further delay- Hair and Make-up.

So we all remembered the 3 things of getting ready, 1) always wear a button/zippered shirt when getting an updo. 2) Day old hair is a must for great hold and shine. 3) Laugh, joke, giggle because no matter what happens today, you deserve it!

Thanks to my out of this world awesome girls, we knocked out about 200 wedding favors in an afternoon. Complete with bridal punch (Thank you Annie!) and snacks because my God-Mother Marcy thinks of everything. It was a great time! Check it out!

The whole Crew!

Twas the night before our wedding,
and all through the apartment,
you can smell the turkey roasting
and hear the cookies sliding from parchment

Some might say there’s crazy in the air
for putting on Thanksgiving and the next day a wedding affair.

But I just smile and laugh to be blessed with such flair.

Tonight we shall eat, drink, and be merry being thankful for all of life’s gifts,
and tomorrow we shall be wedded, in true marital bliss.
