HAPPILY MARRIED JUNE 2011
Stephen moved to my hometown in New Jersey from central PA for a job in 2004. We met through a mutual friend, and realized we lived right around the corner from each other.
Stephen proposed on top of the Empire State Building at the beginning of October. The weather was perfect, and the moment was so intimate. He didn't get down on one knee, but rather, he quietly opened the ring box in a sea of people for only me to see. It felt like we were sharing the best secret ever together. My ring was purchased at "Halloween" in Old City Philadelphia, a store specializing in custom and antique jewelry. The ring is an antique from 1905.
I wish for my big day to be whimsical, sustainable, detailed, fun and about both myself and my fiance. A true joint effort! We will have our reception at The National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in Center City Philadelphia. It's filled with antique clocks, portraits of Presidents past and a tiny library with genealogy books galore!
